# AI lifestyle product photography for *lifestyle brands*

At Bilder Studio, I create AI lifestyle product photography that places your product naturally within the world around it. The images can focus on the product or tell a wider story about people and places. Every frame is art-directed, personally retouched and finished, with a consistent look across the set. A Pilot test project costs £150–£400, and a Full Project starts at £750.

## What I make for lifestyle brands

A lifestyle launch usually needs a few kinds of image, and all of them have to look like one brand.

[Beau · Concept campaign, self-initiated. Not a client](https://bilder-studio.com/work/beau/)

### The product in use

Someone drinking from it or packing it. The person has to be doing something with the product, or the image turns into a fashion shot.

![Beau concept: an insulated bottle beside white hydrangeas on a marble table by a tall window.](https://bilder-studio.com/Projects/beau-concept-key-visual-insulated-bottle-hydrangeas.webp?v=e7dec357)

[Beau · Concept campaign, self-initiated. Not a client](https://bilder-studio.com/work/beau/)

### The product in its place

A still life in the setting it belongs to, like a bottle on a marble table by a tall window, or towels over the sill of a summer house.

![Audemars Piguet x Swatch concept: navy and orange watch charm hanging from a leather strap looped round the wrist](https://bilder-studio.com/Projects/audemars-piguet-swatch-concept-charm-leather-strap-wrist.webp?v=c2c652db)

[Audemars Piguet x Swatch · Concept campaign, self-initiated. Not a client](https://bilder-studio.com/work/royal-pop/)

### The detail

Close enough to see what it's made of: the stitching, the hardware, the weave, the dial.

![OSSA fine jewellery: sterling silver collar necklace set with an oval and a round smoky quartz, on white](https://bilder-studio.com/Projects/ossa-sterling-silver-collar-necklace-smoky-quartz.webp?v=6325376a)

[OSSA · Own concept brand](https://bilder-studio.com/work/ossa/)

### The clean product frame

The product on its own, so the product page and the campaign show the same object. I make it as part of a set, and I don't take on per-image catalogue work.

![Steamline Luggage concept: traveller standing in a wood-panelled hotel lobby with a mini trunk bag and the cream trunk case](https://bilder-studio.com/Projects/steamline-luggage-concept-traveller-hotel-lobby.webp?v=c8526c08)

[Steamline · Concept campaign, self-initiated. Not a client](https://bilder-studio.com/work/steamline-luggage/)

### The campaign world

One story across the set, with a palette and a light that every frame belongs to, from a journey that ends in a hotel room to a summer day at a family house.

## Lifestyle product photography with models

![TEKLA concept: two women, one in striped pyjamas, lean out of the window of a red wooden cabin](https://bilder-studio.com/Projects/tekla-concept-two-women-cabin-window.webp?v=ed235141)

[TEKLA · Concept campaign, self-initiated. Not a client](https://bilder-studio.com/work/tekla/)

A person gives a lifestyle image its scale, its warmth and its use, all in one frame. It's also where a set most often drifts, so the cast gets as much care as the product.

The people are generated and cast for your brand at the start, so there is no model to book and no model release to clear.

I build a reference sheet for each person, so the same faces carry through every frame they appear in. In the TEKLA concept that meant two faces, often in the same frame.

A real person as themselves, such as a founder or an ambassador, is a different job with its own permissions, and your legal team should be involved.

There's more on faces and ownership in [who owns the commercial rights to AI brand imagery](https://bilder-studio.com/journal/commercial-rights-ai-brand-imagery/).

## How I keep your product the same in every scene

In a lifestyle set the product moves from scene to scene, and each new scene is a chance for it to change. This is how I hold it:

I work from your references: good-quality images of the product and its packaging, its dimensions, and every detail needed to represent it precisely.

The product has a master image, and every scene is checked against it.

Scale comes from real measurements, so the product sits right in a hand or a room.

![Steamline Luggage concept: a cream trunk case on a marble staircase.](https://bilder-studio.com/Projects/steamline-luggage-concept-key-visual-trunk-marble-stairs.webp?v=319504f9)

Steamline · Concept campaign, self-initiated. Not a client

I often build the places first, empty, and bring the product and the people into each one afterwards.

Each new frame is checked against the ones already finished, so [the set keeps one look](https://bilder-studio.com/journal/consistent-brand-look-across-ai-images/).

Before anything is delivered, I check lettering, shape, colour, materials and reflections against your references, and fix by hand whatever has drifted.

Accuracy matters beyond looks, too. The ASA's advice is that product images [must not mislead](https://www.asa.org.uk/news/a-picture-says-a-thousand-words-avoiding-misleading-imagery-in-ads.html) about what customers will receive, for example by exaggerating a product's size or by showing extras. A lifestyle frame is full of things that aren't for sale, which matters wherever an image sits next to a price.

## Lifestyle product photography examples, from my concept work

These are self-initiated concept campaigns, made to show how I would direct a lifestyle brand. Each one uses a real brand's name and product as concept work: none of these brands is a client or commissioned the images, and no affiliation is implied. Client work can be shared privately where confidentiality allows.

### Moodboard

Colour, light, places, casting and styling, built on your existing brand. We agree the direction before I develop the images.

### Final delivery

The finished files in PNG, JPG, TIFF or WebP, in the sizes and crops each channel needs, with full commercial rights.

How long it takes depends on the scope and on how quickly feedback comes back, so we set the dates together at the brief.

## What it costs

I price lifestyle product photography by the effort a project takes, at a day rate. There are two ways to work together:

Test the direction

### Pilot

One-off**£150–£400**

A small test project: a few finished images of your product in the direction we agree, so you can see how I would direct your brand before committing to anything bigger. The fee comes off your next project if you continue.

Launches and campaigns

### Full Project

From**£750**

Creative direction and a moodboard, the images the project needs and full commercial rights, priced on the effort the work takes.

### Revisions until you're happy

We work on them together until you're happy with the result

### Full commercial rights

On delivery, with no usage windows and no extra fees

### No fixed number of images

The price follows the effort the work takes

### Files for every channel

PNG, JPG, TIFF and WebP, in the sizes and crops each channel needs

The effort rises with the number of settings and with people in the frame. A single still life in one setting is the simplest thing I make. A launch that needs a recognisable cast across several settings is the most involved. The [pricing page](https://bilder-studio.com/pricing/) sets out what each includes and what changes the price.

## What to send me

The brief is usually shorter than people expect. Before work starts, I send you a short questionnaire, so the brief is clear.

There's more on this in [how to brief an AI creative director](https://bilder-studio.com/journal/how-to-brief-an-ai-creative-director/).

Example

1.1 · The product, or good-quality images of it from several angles, including the parts most likely to be misunderstood, such as the back and the closure.

1.2 · Its dimensions, and the materials and finishes named exactly.

1.3 · The world you picture it in: two or three references you love, and one you can't stand.

1.4 · Where the work is going, because a listing crop and a launch story want different frames.

1.5 · The date you need the images.

## Common questions about AI lifestyle product photography

What is the difference between a packshot and a lifestyle image?

A packshot shows what the product is, usually on a plain ground, so a buyer can see exactly what they're getting. A lifestyle image shows what it does: the product in use, at its real size. Most launches need both. I make the clean frame as part of a lifestyle set, and I don't take on per-image catalogue work.

Can you put my real product into lifestyle scenes?

Yes, from good references: clear images of the product and its packaging, its dimensions, and every detail needed to represent it precisely. My Beau concept was built around a bottle I had never seen in person. If the product is still only an idea, with no sample, render or drawing, we'd wait for one of those first.

Do the people in lifestyle images have to be real models?

No. The people in my images are generated and cast for the project, so there is no model to book and no release to clear. A real person as themselves, such as a founder or an ambassador, is a different job with its own permissions, and your legal team should be involved.

Will my product look the same in every scene?

It has to, and it's the part I check most closely. The product has a master image, its scale comes from real measurements, and each new frame is checked against your references and the frames already finished. Anything that has drifted is fixed by hand before delivery.

How much does AI lifestyle product photography cost?

A Pilot is a small test project costing £150–£400. If you continue, the fee is credited towards your next project. A Full Project starts at £750 with full commercial rights. I price each project according to its scope and the work involved in creating and finishing the imagery. My [pricing page](https://bilder-studio.com/pricing/) explains what each option includes. If you're comparing this with a traditional shoot, my [product photography pricing guide](https://bilder-studio.com/journal/ai-product-photography-beauty-brands/) breaks down those costs too.
