# AI jewellery photography for *jewellery brands*

At Bilder Studio, I create AI jewellery photography for jewellery brands. My work includes product frames, macro detail, on-model imagery and campaign worlds, with every piece kept exact across the set. I personally retouch and finish every image. A Pilot test project costs £150–£400, and a Full Project starts at £750.

Fine and contemporary jewelleryMade in Manchester, for brands worldwide

## What I make for jewellery brands

Most jewellery launches need fewer images than they think, but a wider spread than they usually plan for.

[OSSA · Own concept brand](https://bilder-studio.com/work/ossa/)

### The product frame

Clean, honest and accurate to the piece: the image that has to survive being cropped into a product listing. Shape, finish, stone placement and proportions have to hold.

![OSSA concept: an extreme macro of the faceted smoky quartz](https://bilder-studio.com/Projects/ossa-smoky-quartz-facets-macro.webp?v=8bf9b727)

[OSSA · Own concept brand](https://bilder-studio.com/work/ossa/)

### The material macro

Close enough to see what the piece is actually made of: the metal finish, the setting, the surface and the stone. This is where material starts to justify value.

![OSSA concept: a sterling silver and smoky quartz collar necklace on a model with braided hair, chin raised, a hand at her throat](https://bilder-studio.com/Projects/ossa-silver-collar-necklace-chin-raised.webp?v=d546acdb)

[OSSA · Own concept brand](https://bilder-studio.com/work/ossa/)

### Worn on the body

On a body, at the scale it actually exists. It answers the size question and the styling question at the same time.

![OSSA concept: the collar necklace and ring laid on pale grey rock](https://bilder-studio.com/Projects/ossa-necklace-and-ring-still-life-pale-stone.webp?v=d3fdb87d)

[OSSA · Own concept brand](https://bilder-studio.com/work/ossa/)

### Still life

The pieces together in a composed set, on stone, salt or shell, so a collection reads as one and the props say where it belongs.

![Completedworks concept: a close portrait of a model wearing a pearl drop earring, a silver earring at her other ear](https://bilder-studio.com/Projects/completedworks-concept-pearl-drop-earring-close-up-portrait.webp?v=be89edc9)

[Completedworks · Concept campaign, self-initiated. Not a client](https://bilder-studio.com/work/completedworks/)

### The world

One image that tells you what kind of brand you are looking at.

## AI jewellery photography on models

![OSSA concept: a back view of the model's two dark braids, the sculptural ring on the hand resting on her head](https://bilder-studio.com/Projects/ossa-silver-ring-back-view-braids.webp?v=31e58db6)

[OSSA · Own concept brand](https://bilder-studio.com/work/ossa/)

A piece on a plinth tells you what it is. A piece on a body tells you what it does. Jewellery is designed to exist on a moving body, so a launch made only of product frames leaves the customer to imagine half of it.

The model is generated and cast for your brand at the start, so there is no model to book and no model release to clear.

I build a reference sheet of her, full length and in close-up, before any jewellery goes on, so the same face carries through every worn frame.

Jewellery on a model also means hands, and hands are the weak point, so the worn frames give them something to rest on.

A real person as themselves, such as a founder or an ambassador, is a different job with its own permissions, and your legal team should be involved.

There's more on faces and ownership in [who owns the commercial rights to AI brand imagery](https://bilder-studio.com/journal/commercial-rights-ai-brand-imagery/).

## How I keep every piece exact

A beautiful ring that quietly changes shape between frames is worse than having fewer images. Product fidelity comes first, and this is how I hold it:

I work from your references: the piece from the front, side and back, including the clasp, the setting and any engraving.

The materials are named exactly, because polished and brushed silver don't behave the same, and neither do an opaque stone and a transparent one.

Each piece has a master image, and every frame is checked against it. A frame with the wrong number of stones goes, however good the rest of it is.

![OSSA concept: a sterling silver ring with an open organic frame, set with one oval and three round smoky quartz stones, on white](https://bilder-studio.com/Projects/ossa-sterling-silver-ring-smoky-quartz.webp?v=d10cc90c)

OSSA · Own concept brand

Scale comes from real measurements: the OSSA ring face is about 2 cm, so it sits small beside the 15 cm collar.

Metal is a mirror with a shape, so I decide what each piece is allowed to reflect.

Before anything is delivered, I check shape, finish, stones and engraving against your references, and fix by hand whatever has drifted.

Accuracy matters beyond looks, too. The ASA's advice is that product images [must not mislead](https://www.asa.org.uk/news/a-picture-says-a-thousand-words-avoiding-misleading-imagery-in-ads.html) about what customers will receive, for example by exaggerating a product's size. In jewellery, scale is part of the product.

## Jewellery photography examples, from my concept work

These are self-initiated concept projects, made to show how I would direct a jewellery brand. OSSA is my own concept brand, designed from a sketch. Completedworks is a real brand's name and product used as concept work: it is not a client and did not commission the images, and no affiliation is implied. Client work can be shared privately where confidentiality allows.

### Final delivery

The finished files in PNG, JPG, TIFF or WebP, in the sizes and crops each channel needs, with full commercial rights.

How long it takes depends on the scope and on how quickly feedback comes back, so we set the dates together at the brief.

## What it costs

I price by the effort a project takes, at a day rate. There are two ways to work together:

Test the direction

### Pilot

One-off**£150–£400**

A small test project: a few finished images of your product in the direction we agree, so you can see how I would direct your brand before committing to anything bigger. The fee comes off your next project if you continue.

Launches and campaigns

### Full Project

From**£750**

Creative direction and a moodboard, the images the project needs and full commercial rights, priced on the effort the work takes.

### Revisions until you're happy

We work on them together until you're happy with the result

### Full commercial rights

On delivery, with no usage windows and no extra fees

### No fixed number of images

The price follows the effort the work takes

### Files for every channel

PNG, JPG, TIFF and WebP, in the sizes and crops each channel needs

The effort rises with the number of pieces and settings, and with a model in the frame. A single piece on a plain ground is the simplest thing I make. A launch that needs a cast across several worlds is the most involved. The [pricing page](https://bilder-studio.com/pricing/) sets out what each includes and what changes the price.

## What to send me

If the piece already exists, start with plain reference photographs from several angles, not campaign photographs: I need to understand the object first. Before work starts, I send you a short questionnaire, so the brief is clear.

There's more on this in [how to brief an AI creative director](https://bilder-studio.com/journal/how-to-brief-an-ai-creative-director/).

Example

1.1 · The piece from the front, side and back, including details such as the clasp, the setting or any engraving.

1.2 · The materials, named exactly: polished and brushed silver should not behave the same, and neither should an opaque stone and a transparent one.

1.3 · Two or three visual references you love, and ideally one you can't stand.

1.4 · Where the work is going, because a square product crop and a launch story solve different problems.

1.5 · The date you need the images.

## Common questions about AI jewellery photography

Can AI jewellery photography keep my piece exactly as it is?

It has to, and it's the part I check most closely. Each piece has a master image, its scale comes from real measurements, and every frame is checked against your references for shape, finish and the number and placement of stones. Anything that has drifted is fixed by hand before delivery.

Can you photograph a piece before it has been made?

Yes, if the design is developed clearly enough, with a sketch and measurements, a CAD file or a render. That is where a jeweller stands before the first sample is made, and it's how my OSSA concept began: a form I sketched by hand, built into a full campaign before any physical piece existed.

Do the models in jewellery images have to be real?

No. The models in my images are generated and cast for the project, so there is no model to book and no release to clear. A real person as themselves, such as a founder or an ambassador, is a different job with its own permissions, and your legal team should be involved.

How do you show how big a piece really is?

On the body. A ring alone on a plain ground has almost no scale: it could be tiny, or it could be sculptural. Skin, a hand or a collarbone solves that at once, so the worn frames are made at the piece's real measurements.

How much does AI jewellery photography cost in the UK?

A Pilot is a small test project costing £150–£400. If you continue, the fee is credited towards your next project. A Full Project starts at £750 with full commercial rights. I price each project according to its scope and the work involved in creating and finishing the imagery. My [pricing page](https://bilder-studio.com/pricing/) explains what each option includes. If you're comparing this with a traditional shoot, my [product photography pricing guide](https://bilder-studio.com/journal/ai-product-photography-beauty-brands/) breaks down those costs too.
